Review of Achievements 2010, on 12 January 2011
Leaders of the Global Mother Divine Organization*, the ladies' wing of organizations teaching the Transcendental Meditation Programme in India, began the new year with inspiring reports from countries around the world. Highlights were presented of the past year's achievements expanding the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi throughout India.
The Global Mother Divine Organization has developed a very successful programme—called the Sahasra Shirsha Matri Mandal project—which aims to create groups of 1,000 women practising Yogic Flying together at the same time in schools and in their own homes, in each of the 631 districts of the country.
Through this programme, women in steadily increasing numbers have been inspired to learn Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, its Advanced Techniques, and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.
Through their regular twice-daily practice, these women are not only developing their own consciousness and promoting better health, happiness, and fulfilment for themselves and their families—but are also creating a rising influence of coherence and harmony in the collective consciousness of their communities and the nation.
As natural law continues to rise in India, the Land of the Veda, the main emphasis of the Global Mother Divine Organization continues to be on the expansion of teaching activities and providing Consciousness-Based Education for girls. The past year saw many achievements in these areas, including educational initiatives that continued in 2011.
In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, 2,847 ladies have learned Transcendental Meditation since autumn 2009, and 84 have become Yogic Flyers. Regular group meditations are being organized. Meditating ladies at an education diploma college are beginning the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme in the new year.
The Transcendental Meditation Teachers of Maharishi Nagar, Uttar Pradesh—seat of the National Office of the Global Mother Divine Organization in India—have also embarked on the Sahasra Shirsha Matri Mandal project: 341 ladies have learned Transcendental Meditation in the last three months, 64 have become Yogic Flyers, and 60 more will soon complete their training.
